Spider-Man: Brand New Day production designer Will Dixon has shared a fantastic look at the contents of Peter Parker’s wallet, proving that the production team went far beyond simply stuffing it with generic cards.

Every piece of the prop was designed around Peter’s history, featuring references to Matt Murdock, Aunt May, and even one of the wall-crawler’s classic comic book hangouts. Dixon explained on X why a prop that spends most of its life hidden in a pocket still requires such meticulous attention to detail. He noted that because you never know if a wallet will get a close-up, you have to create dressing that is genuinely related to the character.

Deep Cuts in Peter Parker’s Wallet

This approach resulted in a wallet packed with fun references. One of the most notable items is a business card for Nelson, Murdock, and Page: Attorneys At Law, which connects Peter back to Matt Murdock and the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Dixon shared his own narrative for the inclusion, imagining that Matt would have given the card to Peter during the events of that film and that Peter would have held onto it.

The wallet also contains a loyalty card for The Coffee Bean, a longtime Spider-Man hangout from the Marvel Comics source material. Additionally, there is a F.E.A.S.T. card, which carries a personal connection to Aunt May. Dixon explained that he liked to imagine Peter would have kept that card as a way to remember her. The prop department even included a bagel shop card and a detailed version of Peter Parker’s driver’s license.

Why These Details Matter

While these are incredibly small pieces of production design, they help make Peter’s world feel like a lived-in place rather than a collection of sets and superhero props. It is the kind of dedication that comic book fans love to discover. None of these Easter eggs were strictly necessary for the story to function, and there was always a high probability that the camera would never get close enough for audiences to read them. The team included them anyway because they belonged in Peter Parker’s world.

The response from fans online has been enthusiastic, with many wishing the wallet had received more screen time to showcase the work. It is a testament to the creativity and heart put into the film, even in the corners that might never be consciously noticed by the average viewer.
